Another question asked if responders approved or disapproved of the handling of the leaks of radioactive wastewater from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear complex.  68% of responders said they disapproved, only 27% approved.

On Wednesday, Former Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi gave a lecture east of Tokyo in which he claimed that the citizens of Japan would not approve of a pro-nuclear power policy by the central government.  Koizumi added that the government could not persuade people that nuclear power plants are necessary, advising rather that the government keep its proposal to abandon nuclear energy. ”
